MIAT Mongolian Airlines started to operate A310-300 Aircraft since May 1998 according to 10 year Financial Lease Agreement between Airbus Industrie Financial Services (AIFS) and MIAT Mongolian Airlines.

From 23 May 08 this aircraft title transfer changed and MIAT Mongolian Airlines owned this aircraft in conjunction with expiration of 10 years Financial Lease Agreement.

Also A310-300 Aircraft’s registration number changed from F-OHPT to JU-1010 from 23 May 2008 at 10:00 UTC.

MИАТ Mongolian Airlines is going to perform this B737-800 aircraft’s several modifications such as non electric photoluminescent floor path marking system, interior placard change with bilingual placards and installation of moveable class divider. Also aircrfat external repainting work will be performed for the aircraft according to MIAT livery.
MIAT Mongolian Airlines has delivered a second B737-800 aircraft under operating lease arrangement with CIT Capital Aviation (UK) Company for 100 months periods. 8 years old this B737-800 aircraft has 189 economy seats and has equipped with blended winglets and air stair. MIAT Mongolian Airlines is planning their fleet expansion on Asian market by this aircraft.

January, 2008
Mongolain Airlines Maintenance & Engineering Organization successfully performed scheduled in-house "C" check (6th) on Airbus A310-304 (F-OHPT) aircraft from 02 - 14 january 2008.

From 14 to 22 january 2008 was accomplished multiple "A" checks on Mongolian Airlines operating Boeing B737 - 800 NG (EI-CXV) aircraft by M&E staff.
March 2008
From 17 to 21 March 2008, Maintenance & Engineering Organization successfully performed scheduled in-house "C" check (7th) on Boeing B737-800 NG (EI-CXV) aircraft.
During this heavy maintenance check was accomplished modification on aircraft Thrust Reverser Indicating System which includes an addition of a resistor to the thrust reverser sync lock time delay circuit.
From 22 to 28 March 2008 was successfully accomplished scheduled "Special Layover Maintenance" on Mongolian Airlines operating Airbus A310 - 304 and during this base maintenance were done successfully following mandatory major modifications and special maintenance:
- AD F-2004-165 - Exhaust - Thrust reverser system - Installation of a Third Line of Defence.
- AD 2007-0005 - Air conditioning - Cabin pressure control and monitoring - Introduce automatic opening logic of outflow    valves on ground.
NDT Inspections on:

- Engine pylon, outer tanks and wing to fuleage joints by Ultrasonic NDI.
- Rudder by Thermographic NDI.
- Outer tanks and rudder by X-ray NDI.

Maintenance & Engineering Organization registered as ISO 9001:2000 implemented organization

To keep customers satisfied, the organization needs to meet their requirements. The ISO 9001:2000 standard provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing the organization's processes so that they consistently turn out product that satisfies customers' expectations.

   Since 2004, the MIAT Mongolian Airlines Maintenance & Engineering Organization (M&E) is establishing and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to comply with applicable EASA Quality System requirements and internationally recognized quality standard – ISO 9001:2000.

   In this connection, one of objectives of the M&E’s 2007 Year Plan was the M&E ISO 9001:2000 Certification Project. The following works/tasks were done for successful implementation of this project:

          - M&E ISO 9001:2000 Certification Team Build-up
          - MSN ISO 9001:2001 standard detailed study by Certification Team and ISO 9000 family standards review
          - ISO 9001:2000 Familiarization Training at MASM
          - Gap Analyses
          - M&E Quality Manual Issue, M&E Bilingual Quality Manual Issue
          - ISO 9000 Familiarization and its Implementation In-house Training for M&E staff
          - M&E ISO 9001:2000 Certification Formal Application

   As result of these works M&E successfully passed MASM Assessment Audit in October and became 16th Mongolian ISO 9001 Registered Organization in November 30, 2007.

    The Mongolian Airlines Maintenance & Engineering Organziation's base maintenance team is accomplishing successfully.

   - Cold weather kit installation
   - Provision cold weather kit installation
   - Installation of Unpaved/Gravel runway protection

related maintenance on Eznis Airways LLC SAAB 340B aircraft with registration number JU-9905 according to manufacfurer's SBs & operators request.
