A Mongolian Airlines Maintenance & Engineering Organisation was established in 1961. Since its establishment Organisation has been performing maintenance and engineering services for Antonov-2, IL-14, Antonov-24, Antonov-26, Antonov-30, MIL-8, KA-26, Yu-12, B727-200, B737-800, and A310-300 airplanes. A Maintenance Facility of M&E Organisation is located at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport of Mongolia. M&E Organisation performs scheduled line and base maintenance activities including defect rectification, component maintenance within the limitation of EASA Part-145 approval.

In March 2004

The M&E Organisation issued Continues Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) for aircraft operator in accordance with JAR OPS 1 Subpart G requirements and CAME was approved by the DGAC. This approval allowed the M&E Organisation to perform Continues Airworthiness Management (Engineering service) for A310 and B737 aircrafts, and Mongolian Airlines M&E Organisation was recognised as an approved Engineering Organisation.

In March 2005

The M&E Organisation became one of maintenance organisations approved according to EASA Part-145, which allowed performing line & base maintenance up to and including 'A' checks on the A310 and B737 aircrafts.

In November 2005

The M&E Organisation was approved to perform heavy maintenance “C” checks on A310 and B737 aircrafts through scope expansion of the EASA Part-145 approval. Same time the Structure repair, Composite repair, Battery, Avionic, Emergency Equipment and NDT & Calibration shops were certified by EASA Part-145 to perform maintenance on the 15 components.

In February 2006

The M&E Organisation successfully performed first in-house “C” checks on B737 and A310 aircraft under EASA Part-145 approval certificate. The M&E Organisation is only one and first approved maintenance repair station by MCAR (Mongolian Civil Aviation Regulation) Part 145 in Mongolia.

In February and March 2007

The Mongolian Airlines M&E Organisation successfully performed 3rd and 4th in house “C” checks on B737 and A310 aircrafts under EASA Part-145 approval.

In November 2007

The Mongolian Airlines M&E Organisation established ISO 9001:2001 Quality Management System and successfully certified from ISO / MASM.

In January 2008

The M&E Organisation has successfully performed seventh in-house “C” check on A310 aircraft under EASA Part-145 approval certificate.

In March 2008

The M&E Organisation has successfully performed eighth in-house “C” check on B737-800 aircraft under EASA Part-145 approval certificate.
